AIR.com — Restored to Its Rightful Owner
Following a ruling by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, AIR.com has been returned to the estate of its original registrant. Brannans.com has been retained as the estate’s exclusive advisor to determine the domain’s next long-term home.
Background
AIR.com was originally registered in 1994 under Allied International Resources. After the passing of its original owner, the domain was transferred without authorization. In September 2025, the Eastern District of Virginia ordered the domain restored to the estate in Garland v. AIR.com (E.D. Va., Sept 26, 2025).
Representation
The estate was represented by David E. Weslow, Attison L. Barnes III, and Adrienne J. Kosak of Wiley Rein LLP (Washington, DC). Brannans.com serves as the estate’s exclusive domain name advisor.
Stewardship and Next Steps
Brannans.com specializes in advising owners of premium one-word .com domains. The firm’s role is to identify the right strategic placement for AIR.com that reflects the domain’s legacy, clarity, and long-term brand potential.
“Digital assets like AIR.com deserve the same protection, continuity planning, and strategic stewardship as any other part of an estate,” said David Clements, Founder of Brannans.com.
